Standard double acting cylinder with counterbalance cartridge valves
These are the most commonly used hydraulic cylinders. They are also produced by damping at one or both ends of the stroke. With these cylinders, both chambers in front and behind the piston are pressurized and force is transmitted in both directions accordingly.
